First day in Cape Town with family after the long haul from Charleston, Washington, Dakar, Johannesburg and finally 24 hours later into Cape Town. Feel fine today - no jetlag. Just been taking it easy, hanging out at Hedge House, walking dogs in the park. This evening a bunch of folks will be over for dinner after Ben's baptism later this afternoon. More pics tomorrow.

The Charleston, SC annual Water Missions International Walk for Water fundraiser was held in Cannon Park on Saturday morning, March 20th (happy birthday Dad!) The day couldn't have been prettier and a large crowd turned out for the event. These are just a couple of images from the beginning of the walk, and many more images are posted on my photo website vanessak.com More information about Water Missions International and their work around the globe can be found at Watermissions.org
In the evening, the James Island Christian School held their annual Auction fundraiser, and since both Leigh and Matt attended there for many years, I supported that as well, so it was a day dedicated to non-profits.
