More studio work
Work is really a misnomer - this is definitely a lot of fun. Jenny and Adam came by this evening and we took some maternity pics, some hunting pics (yes, really), some couple pics, and some fun ones. This was one of my favorite fun ones of Jenny. She has such pretty feet :)

These weekends are just so SHORT
So much to do and so little time .. After church today, Matt and Christine came over for lunch and after some persuasion they ended up in the studio. I have uploaded a few to my regular website under "current work / studio" but this is probably one of my favorites. Thanks guys - have fun with them on Facebook!

Early start this morning
My friend Diane made a commitment to join Team in Training which is an organization whose mission is to find a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma. TNT not only funds research, they also support programs that improve the quality of life for patients and their families. These are pics of her team's training run of 12 miles this morning. Linda and I photographed them at 6am as they started off from Colonial Lake. She has set a goal to raise $4,500 and willl be running the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 17th. For more info and to make a donation, visit her webpage at http://tinyurl.com/diane-ariasI'm just glad I was taking the pics and not doing the running....

Johns Island Sunflowers
I had heard that there was an awesome field of sunflowers on River Road near Plowground, so I headed out early this morning to capture them. Unfortunately most were past their prime and they all looked like they could use some rain. Some years are just better than others I guess. Still looking for some of the giant ones, so if anyone has seen some around, please let me know.

Did I say already that I love my job?
Yesterday I shadowed our stack-testing crew to the Santee Cooper Jefferies Power Plant in Moncks Corner. We needed updated images for our website and other marketing pieces, so I put my "official corporate photographer" hat on, and off we went. It was really HOT out there and I have a new respect for these guys and the job they do. I had to go home, peel off my clothes and shower before heading back to the office in the afternoon. Here are a couple of the pics.
